Wünsche hat man viel im Leben
schon als kleines Kind hab ich geseh'n
alles geht nicht in Erfüllung
wär es auch schön.
Damals konnte ich so vieles schwer nur versteh'n.
Dann vergingen ein paar Jahre
und die Liebe kam
der erste Kuß
leider kam es meistens immer
wie's kommen muß
man fühlt sich manchmal wie im Himmel
und dann ist Schluß.
Doch wenn man älter wird
und die Glut etwas kälter wird
wenn die Erinn'rung kommt
denkt man manches hat sich schon gelohnt.
Ich hab viel falsch gemacht
und hab oft zu früh gelacht
doch ich muß mir eingesteh'n
es war wunderschön.

der dann allein nur ihr gehört
und den Himmel voller Geigen
das wäre schön.
Und das dürfte nie vorbei sein und nie vergeh'n.
Mancher sucht in seinem Leben
nur nach Reichtum oft und nur nach Geld
und vergißt dabei die Liebe und wie man lacht
doch er wird einsam
wird so einsam in dunkler Nacht.
Doch wenn man älter wird
und die Glut etwas kälter wird
wenn die Erinn'rung kommt
dich mit ihren Fragen nicht verschont.
Dann weißt du ganz gewiß
daß doch eins nur wichtig ist
für dich zählt nur eins allein
's kann nur die Gesundheit sein
nicht's kann doch so wertvoll sein
als gesund zu sein.
