"The Insider" has learned that singer LeAnn Rimes was involved in a car accident Thursday. The country singer/actress was involved in a minor accident in Santa Monica, CA. -- and was later assisted by police officers at her home. Rimes called in to report the accident, but "The Insider" has learned that a police report was not taken. The star and the other driver exchanged appropriate information following the accident. Rimes, who announced she will be divorcing husband Dean Sheremet earlier this month, was reportedly questioned by police in late August for an alleged hit and run accident. A rep for Rimes told "The Insider" back in August, "There was a routine police investigation into this incident, and a police report was filed. We are confident that this matter will be resolved shortly and LeAnn will be cleared."
