Antonio Banderas spoke candidly on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" about his wife Melanie Griffith's struggle with addiction -- and he reveals why she recently headed to rehab after being sober for years. "Melanie has been an addict for many years, and we always came out and we said it out loud," Antonio tells Ellen on her talk show, airing Wednesday. "It was ok. We were never embarrassed of the situation." Antonio, 49, goes on to reveal how Melanie, 52, slipped back into addiction after accomplishing six years of sobriety. "She had a crash, skiing in Aspen a year-and-a-half ago," the actor explains, saying Melanie was "obligated" to use narcotics after the accident. Antonio also shot down rumors that he threatened to divorce Melanie after learning of her recent struggles, saying, "The whole entire family is supporting her. I am supporting her, this particular time more than ever…I am very proud of her."
