Desperate Housewives " leading lady Teri Hatcher is about to check something off her to-do list…participating in a triathlon. According to People, the physically fit 44-year-old actress will lace up her sneakers and put on her swim cap for next week's Nautica Malibu Triathlon. Disney invited her to lead a team in the event to raise money for the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. This invitation ironically came soon after Hatcher and a friend were talking about their "bucket lists." She told People, "I want to learn to play a couple of songs on the guitar. I want to learn a few of those fancy dances from one of those 'Dancing with the Stars' teachers. And I want to run a triathlon." Hatcher has adjusted her workout regime this last month to prepare, riding her bike to Wisteria Lane three or four times per week. She confesses that the final phase of the triathlon, a four-mile run, is where she will struggle. The star tells People, "By that point, I'm really tired, so the whole time I'm thinking, 'I'm not going to make it.'" Supporters can visit Teamhatcher.org to sponsor the star and donate to her cause. The Nautica Malibu Triathlon is scheduled to take place on September 13. Stars such as Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey participated in this event last year.
