'the Insider''s Linda Bell Blue Honored In Nyc
Linda Bell Blue, the executive producer of The Insider and ET, shone in New York City on Tuesday night as she was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame. In accepting the honor, Bell Blue said, "Now, anybody who watches Entertainment Tonight already knows one thing about me -- I'm a firm believer in the tease. It's that one nugget of information that you use to captivate the audience and hold them to the very end of the show, so tonight, here is my tease: 30 years ago I walked into the control room at KPIX News in San Francisco, and I saw something so magnificent and breathtaking that I knew I had seen the face of my future, and I knew that I would never leave television. Do I have your attention now?" She went on to say, "Being recognized tonight for doing something I love to do almost seems like cheating. I am humbled to have my name listed among so many talented colleagues. This isn't just a job for me -- it's been an adventure." Bell Blue was introduced by ET's Mary Hart at the 19th Annual Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame Awards, held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
