Kristen Bell has joined the cast of 'Burlesque,' a musical drama in which she will star as a rival to songstress Christina Aguilera According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film chronicles a small-town girl with big dreams, played by Aguilera. Her ability to belt out the high notes brings her success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club. Bell has signed on to play Nikki, the lead dancer who grows jealous and spirals out of control when Aguilera steals her spotlight. Cher and Stanley Tucci are also cast in the movie. The film is scheduled to begin shooting November 9 and there are plans for a Thanksgiving 2010 release. Kristen Bell can be seen in 'Couples Retreat,' in theaters now.
