Lest anyone thought the nighttime talkers would follow a code of silence regarding the David Letterman extortion case, Jay Leno had a few jokes in store for his former late-night rival on Friday. "If you came here tonight for sex with a talk show host, you've got the wrong studio," Leno cracked during his monologue. "What is going on? First Conan hit his head, and then somebody tries to extort money from Letterman. I'm so glad I'm out of late night." Robert J. Halderman pleaded not guilty on Friday to allegations that he attempted to extort $2 million from Letterman. The "Late Show" host said on his show Thursday that an individual had attempted to extort him over sexual relationships he'd had with female employees.
