"The Insider" was backstage with Kris Allen on Wednesday night moments after he was crowned the season eight "American Idol". Kris tells "The Insider"'s Victoria Recano what he is planning to do after the show and how it feels to be the next "American Idol". "I am going to get some sleep tonight hopefully," Kris Say. "Just hang out with everyone else who's helped me get here. I don't think it's totally sinking in yet." Runner-up Adam Lambert tells "The Insider" that he had a blast performing onstage with KISS and Queen, and that he is very happy for Kris. "I feel like tonight was a celebration," Adam says. "It was anybody's game, we both knew that. I'm really happy for Kris. I think he's an incredibly talented guy, and he's a really good person. He deserves this." "Tonight was a celebration of the whole journey," Adam says. "I think Kris is so talented and so deserving of that title. It was an honor standing next to him."
