Nubile Sonam Kapoor apparently jumped the gun. At a press conference in Mumbai last week, the 20-something who represents the Indian market for the same beauty brand as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a statement about walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year along with international heavyweights including Ash, Elizabeth Banks, Eva Longoria and Rachida Brakni.

Immediately after her announcement came a round of media reports blaming Ash for 'making sure' Sonam didn't get the same Cannes honour as herself.
