Farrah Fawcett best friend Alana Stewart is opening up to "The Insider"'s Lara Spencer about Farrah's battle with cancer and her current health. Alana sets the record straight about Farrah's weight loss and says her friend is continuing to eat and trying to maintain her strength.   "Yeah so she is eating," she says. "Not as much as she should be or we'd like her to, but she is eating." As far as losing weight, Alana reveals that although Farrah has gotten thin she is not as frail as the tabloids have claimed. "She has lost weight, but not as much weight as has been reported -- not even close," she says. "You know the really good news is that she is in stable condition and that her spirits are good and that we're still hoping for a miracle." Alana also tells Lara about a touching promise Redmond O'Neal made to his mother about his drug use. "Well I think that's what he promised her when he saw her -- is that he wouldn't take drugs anymore," she says. "I know that is something that she really wanted to hear." Farrah's long time friend explains that during this challenging time Farrah's priority is being around her family, including her father who lives in Texas but continues to keep his daughter in good spirits. "I know she would like to be well because she'd like to spend time with her family and she'd like to go to Texas and be with her Dad," she says. "He's going to come out and see her I believe in a few weeks, and he's had some health issues of his own and so he hasn't been able to fly just yet, but he's very supportive. Heather Mills says people will be "shocked" by her new vegan restaurant. The former model, who plans to open a chain of eateries, claims customers visiting V-Bites in Brighton, U.K., will relish the tasty meat-free meals she has been working on for years.

She said: "I think the food is really going to surprise everyone. Most people's diet is 70 percent vegan anyway, as they eat rice, pasta and bread, but they just don't associate the two."

"What is going to shock people most is the meat replacements. I have been working on them for seven years and they have a real meat taste."

The man who allegedly burgled Kelly Monaco hotel room has not been robbed of his day in court. A Las Vegas judge determined Tuesday that there was enough evidence against suspect Merrill Wetter, accused of breaking into the General Hospital star's penthouse suite at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino last month, to send the case to trial. "He will be arraigned and enter a plea in district court on May 20," says Michael Sommermeyer, the court information officer for Clark County.
