Don't call him a mall cop -- or a mall rat! Seth Rogen brings his unique brand of comedy to the dark suburban satire 'Observe and Report,' and he tells "The Insider" that the suburban hangout was never really his domain growing up. "I skateboarded, and mall parking lots are a good place to do that, but I didn't have too much money, so I didn't spend that much time at the mall," he says. In theaters everywhere April 10, 'Observe and Report' finds Seth as Ronnie Barnhardt, the head of security -- and master of his domain -- at the Forest Ridge Mall. Spending his days confronting skateboarders, shoplifters and the occasional unruly customer, he dreams of trading in his flashlight for a badge and a gun after landing a coveted spot in the police academy. "Ronnie obviously is a very disturbed character," explains Seth, "but I think in his heart he's just a guy who isn't viewed by the world the way he wants to be viewed, and I think a lot of people can relate to that and have felt that way." When a flasher terrorizes the mall customers, Ronnie seizes his opportunity to catch the perpetrator and be noticed by his dream girl (Anna Faris) -- the hot make-up counter clerk who won't give him the time of day. "You haven't lived 'til Seth Rogen is on top of you, half naked," says Anna with a laugh. "We have this very brief but offensive love scene." But off-camera, she raves that her leading man is a delight, with a similar Pacific Northwest mentality: "He's just as easy-going off cameras as he is on-camera," she reports. "He laughs more than anybody I've ever met, and it's fairly contagious." "I feel like a baseball fan who's getting to play with Joe DiMaggio every day," says Seth of his film success. "I'm getting to work with the people I've always wanted to work with, and make the types of movies I love to go see, so I feel really lucky about all of that."
