Oprah told all about her puppy, Ivan, who passed away last week, on Friday’s Oprah Winfrey Show." Oprah said that when she adopted two cocker spaniel puppies Ivan and Sadie, "We were all so happy," but, "Then things took a turn." She described how first little Ivan, and then Sadie came down with Parvovirus, a deadly canine illness, and that little Ivan had passed away last Thursday. Oprah's pups had already received their first round of vaccinations for Parvo, and had been scheduled to get a second round, but fell ill before they could receive them. She told the audience that Sadie has been hospitalized for eight days with the virus, and showed pics of the poor pup with a protective cone around her head, lying ill in a hospital doggie bed. However, the pooch's vet, Dr. Alexis Newman, joined the broadcast live from Arboretum View Animal Hospital in Illinois with Sadie by her side, and the adorable pup looked much better. The doctor said, to Oprah's relief that Sadie is now "eighty percent back to being a puppy." The vet explained that Parvo can be caught from other dogs, but also, that it's in the environment. Oprah speculated that the dogs could have gotten the virus when she took them outside on a warm day when the snow was melting.

Wednesday was a crushing night for "American Idol" hopeful Alexis Grace when she received the news that she was going home. Not only did it end her dream of becoming the next "American Idol," but by missing the Top 10 by one position, she will not even be a part of this summer's tour. On country night, Alexis chose to sing Dolly Parton's "Jolene." Judge Simon Cowell felt the song was too sound alike without a drop of originality. "I think it is one of those performances we will forget about in 10 minutes time," he added. Apparently he was on the money, since America voted and Alexis received the lowest number of votes. "I did consider doing a Carrie Underwood song, but there were already two other people singing Carrie Underwood," the 21-year-old from Memphis, TN tells ET. "I thought it would be too much Carrie Underwood in one night, so then I went with 'Jolene.' It is a really beautiful song. I love the lyrics and I love the singer." Being from Tennessee, Alexis says she feels like she let her state down to be ousted on country night, but she hopes to redeem herself in the near future. Now that her time on "Idol" has come to an end, she will be heading back home to spend some time with her family. "Being away from my daughter was tough," says the single mom. "I went from being a stay-at-home mom and being with her every day to not seeing her at all -- not hardly talking to her." When it comes to the future, Alexis says she is going to keep working on her dream of a music career -- at least until she is 50. And she is going to keep her edgy look, which she thinks was partially responsible for getting her into the Top 11, although she may switch up the pink highlights. "I learned that if you want to do anything in life, if you want to pursue a dream, you have to work hard at it and believe in yourself," she says.

The manager and half brother of funnyman and film star Dane Cook has been indicted by a Massachusetts grand jury for allegedly stealing millions of dollars from the actor. Citing Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office, the Associated Press reports that Darryl McCauley, 43, was charged with eight counts of larceny over $250, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme. According to prosecutors, McCauley was being paid $12,500 a month as Cook's employee at the time he allegedly stole from Cook, says the AP. McCauley is also accused of writing a $3 million check to himself by forging Cook's signature. McCauley's attorney Robert Goldstein tells the AP that his client denies stealing the money.
