Inquiries are continuing. No arrests at this stage." Authorities will not release the identity of the person or persons they may be investigating.

Police will not file vandalism charges against Jessica Alba for her involvement in an incident in which numerous posters of sharks were posted around Oklahoma City. A police statement says the property owners involved -- including the United Way -- declined to prosecute those responsible. The posters -- aimed at raising awareness about sharks' declining numbers -- were found plastered to a downtown bridge, utility boxes and a United Way billboard. The 28-year-old actress apologized for her actions last week, saying: "I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident."

"The Insider" has learned that Patrick Swayze A&E drama "The Beast" will not return to the network for its second season. Swayze, 56, continued shooting the series during its first season despite his diagnosis and treatment for pancreatic cancer last year. In "The Beast," which debuted last January, Swayze played an unorthodox FBI vet training a new partner while being pursued by a secret Internal Affairs team. The star revealed he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2008.

On last Monday's "Late Show," Letterman made a joke about Alaska governor and former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her daughter attending a New York Yankees game, saying: "During the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez." David explains on tonight's show that he meant to joke about Palin's daughter Bristol, 18, who recently had a baby and graduated high school, but he later learned that it was Palin's 14-year-old daughter Willow who was at the Yankees game. Regardless, Letterman says, "I told a bad joke. I told a joke that was beyond flawed, and my intent is completely meaningless compared to the perception. And since it was a joke I told, I feel that I need to do the right thing here and apologize for having told that joke. It's not your fault that it was misunderstood, it's my fault that it was misunderstood." "So I would like to apologize," Letterman continues,"especially to the two daughters involved, Bristol and Willow, and also to the governor and her family and everybody else who was outraged by the joke. I’m sorry about it and I’ll try to do better in the future."
