'Twilight' actor Cam Gigandet is set to act in another vampire film!   Gigandet will be playing vampire sheriff in the movie 'Priest,' trade publication The Hollywood Reporter reports. Based on the TokyoPop comic book, the movie is set in a turbulent time period, ravaged by wars between vampires and humans. The film follows a priest (Paul Bettany) who rebels against the church to avenge a group of murderous vampires who have kidnapped his niece. After he and his metal band Poison took the Tony Awards stage to perform in the show's opening number, musician and reality TV star Bret Michaels ran into a set piece on the stage, causing him to fall backwards. The star-studded 63rd Annual Tony Awards kicked off at New York City's Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night with a bevy of stars performing, including Dolly Parton and Elton John. Read on to see who the big winners were on Broadway's biggest night … The show, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, began with an opening number that featured performances by Liza Minnelli, Dolly Parton Elton John, metal band Poison, and the cast of several different productions. Poison lead singer Bret Michaels hit his head at the end of his band’s performance in the opening number. It is unclear whether he was injured or not. Other stars who appeared at the awards show included Anne Hathaway, James Gandolfini, Jessica Lange, and Stockard Channing. It was British musical Billy Elliot that took top honors at the Tonys, winning 10 awards, including Best Musical and Leading Actor in a Musical -- an award that went to three young actors who share the role, David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish. The musical, which follows the son of a coal miner who dreams of becoming a dancer, also won Best Director of a Musical (Stephen Daldry), among other awards. God of Carnage, a comedy by Yasmina Reza, won Best Play, best Lead Actress in a Play (Marcia Gay Harden), and Best Direction of a Play (Matthew Warchus). Geoffrey Rush took the award for best Leading Actor in a Play for his role playing a dying monarch in Exit the King, while Angela Lansbury took home an award in the best Featured Actress category for Blithe Spirit. A surprised Liza Minnelli won Special Theatrical Event for Liza's at The Palace.

Family members of David Carradine are "profoundly disturbed" by the publication of a forensics photo that allegedly shows the late actor at the scene of his death and are threatening legal action against any media outlets that reprint any of the images. A grainy photo published Saturday on the cover of the tabloid Thai Rath shows a naked body suspended from a clothes bar in a hotel closet, with hands apparently bound together above the head and feet on the floor, the Associated Press reports. The face is blacked out and other areas are obscured. While the paper does not indicate the source of the image, Thai police say they believe it is a picture of Carradine's body taken by a forensics team that examined the Bangkok, Thailand hotel room where his body was discovered last week. A spokesperson for Carradine's family released a statement to "The Insider" saying that the family was "profoundly disturbed by the release in Thailand of photographs taken at the scene of David Carradine death." The statement adds: "The family wants it understood that, per (family) attorney Mark Geragos, any persons, publications or media outlets will be fully prosecuted for invasion of privacy and causing severe emotional distress if the photos are published." Geragos has also requested that the FBI investigate David's mysterious death and the family is seeking an independent autopsy by famed forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden to determine whether another person could have been involved. Results of an autopsy performed Friday in Bangkok were not expected for at least three weeks. Geragos says Carradine's body is being brought back to the U.S. this weekend for a second autopsy, which he believes could help shed light on whether foul play was involved in the 72-year-old "Kung Fu" star's death.
