Report: Tito Jackson Says Family Confronted Michael
British tabloids are reporting that Michael Jackson brother Tito says the family staged interventions to confront the late King of Pop about his drug use. According to the Daily Mirror, Michael's family had become increasingly concerned about his addiction to painkillers and in an attempt to help the star, planned a number of raids on Neverland Ranch. Tito tells the Mirror that his brother went to great lengths to hide his drug use from his family. "He did almost everything in his power to make sure we didn't know," He says. "I never saw him on drugs. Not once. He deliberately did it away from us. He didn't want his family to know anything about that part of him." Tito explains that his family was still persistent in their efforts to help Michael and managed to make it into the house during one attempt, but Michael denied his use of painkillers. "We had to act," he says. "It was me, my sisters Janet, Rebbie and La Toya and my brothers, Jackie and Randy. We bust right into the house and he was surprised to see us to say the least. We talked about it again and again for hours but we just couldn't get through to him. After that occasion we tried many times but his team of people just shut us out, they would not let us close. They literally shut us out." Michael's brother also weighed in on La Toya Jackson's claims that her brother was murdered by conspirators trying to take his fortune. "I don't know whether he was killed or not," Tito says. "But I would say that sometimes he had people around him that were not in his best interests."[Read full story on The Insider]
