Amy Winehouse has been banned from swimming amid fears she will drown. The troubled singer's excessive drinking has caused concern for those close to her and now worried staff at the St Lucia resort where she is staying have warned her to stay away from the pool.

A source explained to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She is regularly drinking large quantities of wine and rum and no one in her condition should be going anywhere near water."
