Television sports ator and former NBA star Charles Barkley is speaking out about his DUI arrest as new details emerge from the police report regarding an unidentified woman. Barkley told police in Scottsdale, Arizona he ran a stop sign to pick up a woman, according to a new report in the New York Post detailing the police report. Barkley was initially pulled over for running the traffic sign in a move that led to his DUI bust early Wednesday. A handgun was also found in Barkley's car, but he is not facing any gun-related charges, according to the report. Barkley released the statement, "I am disappointed that I put myself in this situation. The Scottsdale Police were fantastic. Now it is a legal matter and I will not further until it is resolved," says the report.

Bush, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced today that President-elect Barack Obama will host the Commander-in-Chief's inaugural ball to honor the country's active duty and reserve military. "It is a privilege to honor our men and women in uniform during our inaugural festivities by continuing the tradition of the Commander in Chief's Ball," said President-elect Obama. "Our troops represent the best America has to offer, and without their dedication and sacrifice we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we are coming together to celebrate on January 20th. They deserve our thanks and our gratitude. Michelle and I look forward to attending the Commander in Chief's Ball and sharing this special evening with representatives of our armed forces." The BBC was shocked - Shocked! - when Sir Paul McCartney did an impromptu "trans-racial" impersonation of Michael Jackson on the air. McCartney is said to have talked in a high-pitched Jackson-style voice when asked about the once-black-man turned middled-aged white-woman singer, which the usually insensitive and over-the-top BBC decided was too outrageous, even by non-existent British standards.

A BBC source told the Daily Mail: "McCartney started to reply in this high-pitched Jacko voice, and apparently it was very funny. But the BBC - deeply nervous, perhaps because of the Jonathan Ross-Russell Brand affair - has declined to broadcast the interview."

The 18-year-old Bristol gave birth Saturday to a healthy 7 lb, 7 oz. baby boy in Palmer, Alaska. The baby's name is Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston.
Former top 10 season six "American Idol" star Gina Glocksen, known for a colorful streak in her hair and her rocker voice, sang a little different tune New Year's Eve. The tune - "Going to the chapel and I'm gonna get married."

Glocksen, 24, married her longtime boyfriend, schoolteacher Joe Ruzicka, on New Year's Eve. Ruzicka popped the question to Glocksen in August of 2007 in front of a live audience in Illinois, where Glocksen and the other top 10 season six "Idol" contestants were performing.
