Kate Gosselin opened up on “Larry King Live” on Tuesday night about how her kids are reacting to her pending divorce with Jon, whether she thinks her estranged husband is a good father, and the future of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” if Jon decides to leave the show. Kate told Larry she has talked with her kids about her split with Jon, saying: “They wish that we could be together. My goal was peace. We’ve achieved that numerous times.” She said the kids “understand the process, they’re working through it,” and “they’re dealing very well, considering.” When asked about the recent report where Jon suggested he wanted to quit their hit reality show, Kate said, “Jon’s opinions and his goals are his own.” As for whether the show’s title or format would change if Jon left, she said, “That would be a question for the network." Kate said she intends to continue on with the show “as long as it’s healthy and safe for the kids," adding that there might “possibly” be a sixth season. When asked by Larry if she thinks Jon is a good father, she said, “He is,” adding, “His decisions right now are not ones that I would necessarily make.” Finally, is Kate ready to date? “No. Too busy,” she said. “I’m lonely but I’m very busy.”
