Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino are in the business of making movies, and cousin, business is a-boomin'! We were with a few of the 'Inglourious Basterds' themselves at the Nashville premiere of their action-packed World War II thriller, and you'll never guess who hosted the red carpet event… Al Gore! "I had an opportunity to see a copy of it beforehand and I'm enthusiastic about the quality of the entertainment," says the former vice president. "I think it's a suspenseful, entertaining movie and I think people will like it. The main character's from Tennessee, I might add." Al was there to show his support as a favor to the film's producer Lawrence Bender, who also produced Al's acclaimed documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth.' Quentin is a Tennessee native from the Knoxville area, and Brad's character, Aldo Raine, is from the Volunteer state. Sheryl Crow was also there, and she says, "You never know with Quentin exactly what you're going to get, and he's made some great movies, and I went to college with Brad, so looking forward to seeing him, as always." In theaters today, 'Inglourious Basterds' casts Brad as the leader of a group of Jewish-American soldiers whose mission is to eliminate Nazis and leaders of the Third Reich, with a requirement of 100 scalps each.
