Tori Spelling mother insists it "killed her" not to attend her granddaughter's first birthday party. Candy Spelling - who has previously accused Tori of engineering the meeting for her reality show "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" - was unhappy not to meet Stella, but stands by her decision.

She told OK! magazine: "I'm a punch line on the scripted reality show and that's kind of not what I bargained for. I'm telling the truth. It killed me, but that's what I had to do."
