Ellen DeGeneres was honored by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for an episode of her talk show that detailed her wedding to Portia de Rossi. "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" received the Outstanding Talk Show Episode award during the 20th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The winning episode was entitled "Ellen & Portia's Wedding Day." GLAAD -- which recognizes media for their representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives -- gave its Outstanding Comedy Series to the hit ABC show "Desperate Housewives." The film 'Milk,' which tells the story of American gay activist/politician Harvey Milk, took the GLAAD prize for Outstanding Film. The movie stars Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch, Josh Brolin and James Franco. Comedienne Kathy Griffin was given the organization's Vanguard award. The Insider has the latest... Madonna's spokesperson confirms to "The Insider" that the singer was injured after being thrown off a horse earlier today. Madonna has just been released from Southampton Hospital with minor injuries and bruises. The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend. Madonna will be having further tests and continues to remain under observation by doctors.
