Dervla Kirwan is to play an evil fashion designer in a BBC adaptation of best-selling book Fashion Babylon.

Material Girl sees a young designer striving to make a name for herself whilst battling against top designer Davina Bailey, played by Dervla. Hotel Babylon, part of the Babylon series of books by Imogen Edwards-Jones, has already been a hit for the BBC, with Fashion Babylon set to air later this year on BBC One.
