Howard K. Stern's attorney alleges that the case against his client regarding the late Anna Nicole Smith is politically motivated and he's issued a direct challenge to California's Attorney General Jerry Brown. Brown has said publicly he thinks the prosecution will succeed in sending to jail Stern and two doctors -- Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich -- for allegedly conspiring to supply Anna Nicole Smith with prescription drugs before her death. Stern's lawyer, Steve Sadow, confirms to ET that he is now challenging Brown to a face-to-face meeting to discuss the case. "Please let AG 'Moonbeam' know that I will sit down, face-to-face with him anywhere, anytime and talk about the 'facts' of Howard's case," Sadow said. Sadow says he the case would not have been filed against him were it not for Brown's possible plans to run for governor of California. The lawyer also reiterated that Stern has no plans to negotiate a plea deal in the case. "No dismissal or trial. There will be no plea negotiations because Howard has committed no crime -- he is innocent!" Sadow also revealed that Stern is currently suffering financial hardships since he is not employed and that it may be impossible for him to find employment in the future as a result of charges leveled against him in the media.

The star of the upcoming 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' was cast as the lead in the thriller 'The Crossing,' according to the Hollywood Reporter. On a blockbuster results show that packed in performances from Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson "Idol" history was made as the judges saved one of the contestants from elimination. Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud landed in this week's bottom three, and the judges agreed that they belonged there. "I think there were a little bit of flaws in each of their performances, and that's why they're up there," Paula Abdul said. Linda Hogan is responding to a her estranged husband Hulk Hogan made in a Rolling Stone article. Linda tells "The Insider," "Hulk's serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future. Sadly, his recent remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates." In the Rolling Stone interview, Hulk said, "I could've turned everything into a crime scene, like O.J., cutting everybody's throat. Ferrell and Grylls will venture "far north" of Sweden, where for 48 hours they’ll brave freezing temperatures, descend down frozen waterfalls, forage for food, and slake their thirst with an unmentionable beverage, says Variety. "Will did an amazing job in sub-zero, very unforgiving conditions," Grylls says. "He trusted me when it mattered and we survived... He should be very proud of how he performed." Ferrell described his walk on the wild side as "a thrill of a lifetime." The episode will air on the Discovery Channel in early June.

Kathy, who recently released her book Real Solutions For Busy Moms: Your Guide To Success & Sanity, found out about a six-year-old girl named Jasmina who is sick with leukemia and seeking a bone marrow treatment that could save her life. Kathy learned of the young girl's plight via social networking site Twitter.com. "I'm so grateful to my Twitter buddy for making myself and people all over aware of this little girl," Kathy tells us about the girl she says she'd love to meet. Jasmina's family started a Web site, YouTube video and Twitter account to help find a match to help save the six-year-old’s life. And Kathy is encouraging everyone to join the bone marrow registry. The President and First Lady filed their tax returns jointly, and they reported an adjusted gross income of $2,656,902. White House reps say that most of the first family’s income in ’08 came from sales of the president’s books. The Obamas ended up paying $855,323 in federal income taxes, and $77,883 in Illinois state income taxes. The President and First Lady also report that they donated $172,050 to 37 charities, giving their biggest contributions -- $25,000 apiece -- to Catholic Relief Services and the United Negro College Fund.
