AP - The FBI and "The Oprah Winfrey Show" say Internet users should beware of an e-mail scam that promises attendance at the popular talk show in exchange for the purchase of a plane ticket.
Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are set to play warring gods in a remake of the 1981 film 'Clash of the Titans.'  The Greek mythological epic -- due to be released next year -- will begin shooting later this month in Britain, according to the Hollywood Reporter.  Neeson will play Zeus, the wise yet sometimes ill-tempered king of the gods and father of Perseus (Sam Worthington). Fiennes -- who is reportedly still in negotiations for his deal -- will play Hades, ruler of the underworld who aims to overtake Zeus and rule over all.  The deal is Neeson's first since the tragic death of his wife, Natasha Richardson, who passed away last month after a skiing accident. Negotiations had already been underway before her death, the trade paper reports.

According to Simon Cowell the judges were split two-two on the decision to use their save on Wednesday night's "American Idol" show, when Scott MacIntyre received the news he had reached the end of his "Idol" journey with the lowest number from the 34 million votes cast. On Tuesday’s performance show, finalists performed songs from the year they were born, and Scott, 23, from Scottsdale, AZ, sang “The Search Is Over” by Survivor. "I was thrilled to know it was a split decision between the four judges," he said the morning after. "That was something very nice for me to walk away with. Even talking to Simon after the show, he told me, and I also sensed that there was some inner turmoil in him making that decision." Scott's plans for the immediate future include a return home to focus on his music career. He is going to be reviewing his catalog of original songs to pull those songs he feels would make a CD, if he gets an offer. So what kind of music will he make? "The music that I write for myself to perform is very much along the lines of John Mayer, Gavin DeGraw, Bruce Hornsby, Vanessa Carlton, a little bit of Mark Schultz," he says. "It is very pop rock/singer-songwriter meets adult contemporary. A lot of the music that I write is very introspective and the lyrics are very meaningful and I try to tell a story with my music. A lot if it has a harder edge and it is radio-friendly." Then the visually-challenged singer/piano player is looking forward to heading out on tour with the rest of the "American Idol" Top 10. "I have been dreaming of going on tour and playing show after show every night since I was a little kid," he says. "There is something magical about being on stage with that many people in the audience. I have had glimpses through my life and, even more so on 'Idol.' Now it is going to be huge on tour. When I can do something I enjoy so much, which is performing, and I can touch people's lives at the same time, it is a win-win situation for the audience and me." "American Idol" returns next week at 8 p.m. on FOX, when the Top Seven will perform under the guidance of director Quentin Tarantino in an “Idols at the Movies”-themed performance show.
