Ringo Starr reportedly told a fan to "F**k off." The former Beatles drummer was taken by surprise when a devotee approached him after he had collected a Diamond award on behalf of the band at the World Music Awards in Monaco on Sunday and began shouting at the shocked female admirer.

A source said: "A middle-aged woman ran over and threw her arms around him, almost knocking him over."
