The "The Other Boleyn Girl" actor - who is married to Rebecca Gleeson - says being "outnumbered" by his female friends and family has led to him having a better understanding of the opposite sex.

Eric said: "I feel like I know women pretty well. Even though I am one of two boys, I am a bit outnumbered with a lot of sister-in-laws and wife-friends."

"So I get to overhear a lot. The more you know about women, the more of a mystery they become."

"I think there is no real way either sex can fully understand the other. Which I like - it's interesting."

The 39-year-old "Hulk" star also revealed his six-year-old daughter Sophia has a special nickname for him.

Eric added to Britain's Glamour magazine: "My daughter occasionally calls me Hulk-man. She hasn't even seen the movie but she thinks it's cool."
