A beach brawl broke out in Malibu over the weekend while paparazzi were taking pictures of Matthew McConaughey while he surfed with friends, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed.    Freelance photographers were allegedly attacked by a group of local surfers  in Malibu's Paradise Cove around 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Associated Press reported. One 29-year-old photojournalist told police the surfers approached him and other freelancers and demanded that they stop taking pictures at the location. When they did not comply, the surfers allegedly attacked the group in a bid to drive them out of the area, AP said. In a statement to police, the photojournalist said he received injuries in the brawl. McConaughey himself was not involved in the attack, authorities said.

Diana Bianchi, the young woman in the middle of the Christie Brinkley split scandal, will testify in divorce court. Her attorney, Rosemarie Arnold, tells "The Insider" today: "She is looking to move forward in her life and regain her anonymity. She has not pursued a career in music by her own choice. That choice has nothing to do with Christie Brinkley or Peter Cook. She wants the media to respect her privacy." Last year, the then 19-year-old New Yorker found herself in the middle of a media storm when it was revealed that she had had an alleged affair with Christie's husband, Peter Cook. Now, her attorney says that she has been subpoenaed to testify in their divorce trial. Just last week, it was determined that the trial will be open to the public. "We are pleased with the judge's decision and wish this didn't happen," Christie's lawyer told us. "Since the case hasn't been able to be resolved, Ms. Brinkley looks forward to her day in court." The trial is set to begin July 2.

The man who made famous the "seven words you can never say on television" passed away at  5:55 pm Sunday at Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica his longtime publicist said. He was 71. Carlin, who has had several heart attacks and a history of heart problems, went into the hospital this afternoon after complaining of heart problems.  Carlin has more than 20 comedy albums, 14 HBO specials, numerous TV and movie roles, and three best-selling books to his credit. Last year, he celebrated his 50th year in show business, and he had just finished his last HBO special in March, "It's Bad for Ya."

The model was seen enjoying a gorgeous Saturday evening out in the Hamptons, where she received a special honor from the American Heart Association.  Brinkley received the Humanitarian with Heart award at the 12th Annual Heart of the Hamptons Gala for her commitment to helping children live healthier lives. She said she is very honored to receive the award from the American Heart Association since her own mother has suffered five strokes that originated in the heart. She said she is convinced that research from the cardiac organization made it possible for her mother to be alive today. Even though on Friday a judge ruled that Brinkley's divorce case would be made open to the public, she told "The Insider" that she was still hopeful it would be settled privately. The father of British soul singer Amy Winehouse says his daughter is suffering from the lung disease emphysema and doctors have warned she could die if she continues smoking drugs, Reuters reports. Mitch Winehouse said his 24-year-old daughter was diagnosed with the illness, which clogs the lungs and leaves sufferers short of breath, when she was recently hospitalized and underwent a series of medical tests. Her father said Amy's frequent smoking of drugs and cigarettes has resulted in a 30 percent reduction in her lung capacity. "The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won't just ruin her voice, it will kill her," her father was quoted as telling the Sunday Mirror. "If she doesn't go back to drugs, then she can lead this magnificent life," her father said. "We are praying that that's what Amy really wants. She seems resolute."
