Actor Mel Ferrer star of the epic period dramas "War and Peace" and "The Sun Also Rises," has died of failing health Monday at his Carpinteria home. He was 90.The actor and Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn's first husband was already in failing health for about six months, son Mark Ferrer said.
