Gillian Anderson - who was eventually cast as paranormal FBI investigator Agent Scully in the hit US TV show - admits bosses approached former "Baywatch" actress Pamela before they offered her the role.She said: "Pamela was somebody who was more familiar to them in terms of what was on TV at the time."
