The 'Weeds' star - who was romantically linked to the 'Brokeback Mountain' star following his split from Michelle Williams last September - was contacted by Ledger's masseuse Diana Wolozin when she found the actor's body in his New York apartment. Olsen then sent her security staff to the apartment.

He was 49.

While the cause of death is unknown, Brando had been admitted to Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center earlier this month battling pneumonia.

"The prognosis is for a complete recovery. He's going to be OK," Brando's attorney, Benjamin Brin, told the Associated Press at the time. Brando was born May 11, 1958 as the result of an affair between his father and actress Anna Kashfi.
