Amy Poehler Says Farewell To 'snl'
"Saturday Night Live"'s Amy Poehler said good-bye last night during her last performance on the NBC comedy show. The farewell came during the Weekend Update news segment in which Poehler appears with Seth Meyers. "I just want to take a moment to thank everybody. This is my last show," Poehler told viewers and co-workers. "It has been an amazing experience to be here. Being able to do over 140 shows with my friends and my family has been a dream come true." In true 'SNL' style, the last segment Poehler appeared in included a comedy bit in which a man portraying New York Gov. David Paterson, who is legally blind, wandered in front of the cameras on the Weekend Update set, partially blocking Poehler and Meyers. Finally in view again, Poehler continues her good-bye: "Anyway, I would like to say thank you to everybody. I love you and I will miss all of you so much." She first appeared on 'SNL' in 2001. Poehler, 37, is married to actor Will Arnett and the two had their first child -- a baby boy -- last October. Earlier this year, she starred along with "SNL" alum Tina Fey in the film 'Baby Mama.'[Read full story on The Insider]
