Courteney Cox returns to sitcoms for the eighth season premiere of the offbeat comedy, "Scrubs." "Pretty much everybody winds up hating me," the former "Friends" star says of her new role as Dr. Maddox, a beautiful but unethical replacement for Dr. Kelso as Chief of Medicine, who shakes things up at Sacred Heart Hospital. Even though her character isn't very popular, Courteney tells "The Insider" she had a great time with the "Scrubs" cast and crew. "I had a ball," she says. "This is a great group of people. They're really fun and they get along. Oddly, this is like 'Friends.'" "Scrubs" premieres its eighth season when it moves to ABC starting Tuesday, January 6 with back-to-back episodes beginning at 9 p.m.
