Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker has been reunited with his long-lost father - who left him when he was just seven. The "Common People" singer, now 43, flew out to Australia with his sister Saskia to meet up with dad Mack. However, Jarvis - who is now a solo artist - admits the reunion was far from a happy occasion, and left him disappointed.

He said: "If this happened on a TV show we'd all have been in floods of tears and declaring how much we loved each other. But although we are biologically related it was like meeting someone I didn't know. We didn't have a parent-child relationship."
