American actor RON CAREY died on Tuesday (16JAN07) of complications from a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 71.Carey is best known for his roles on the sitcom BARNEY MILLER and in Mel Brooks films.Carey began his career as a stand-up comic on talk shows, including those hosted by MERV GRIFFIN,
