Marie-Anne Thiébaud, who used to work as a secretary for Shania Twain and her husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange has reportedly spoken out to deny she was the cause of their breakup. Although reports say an affair between Thiébaud and Mutt was the reason Shania Twain's 14-year-marriage with her hubby ended, Thiébaud told E! News:

"When marriages break up, they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons... and those reasons should be kept private. If you're looking for a person that broke up a marriage, then you have the wrong person. I'm not that person."

Apparently Mutt confirmed he and Shania had split at the beginning of the week, but insists an affair was not the cause of the break-up.

Maybe it wasn't the the only reason for the split, but if there was an affair, it certainly couldn't have helped the situation.
