Queen Latifah and Snooki will sign on to do the next season of "Dancing with the Stars" ... sources connected with the show tell TMZ.

And, show sources tell us, Tiffani Thiessen will also be a contestant.

As TMZ has already told you, Rob Kardashian will also compete.

Producers have said they wanted to upgrade the contestants for the new season, which begins next month.

"The Talk" host Julie Chen added to that thought when ET saw her at "The 12th Annual a Home For the Holidays" show, saying, "Her legacy is probably forgiveness. When she was on her deathbed, to have her estranged husband John Edwards by her side along with her children and other family and friends really speaks volumes about who she was." Chen's co-host on "The Talk" Sharon Osbourne referred to Edwards as a "very dignified woman." "She wasn't a victim," Osbourne said sympathetically. "I think that her strength that she showed ... is a great testimony to her as a woman." Edwards is survived by her husband John, 57, and their three children Catharine, 28, Emma Claire, 12, and Jack, 10. She was predeceased by son Wade, who died at age 16 in a car accident in 1996.
