Kellie Pickler was full of tears during her performance during the CMA Awards on Wednesday night, singing "I Wonder," which is a song about her mother who abandoned her when she was 2 years old.

Cynthia Malone, Kellie's mother, said she was forced to leave her child because of the abusive relationship she was in.  She told the Charlotte Observer in July:

"I knew God had to have a purpose for [Kellie] because there was too many times I would have miscarried because of all the hitting and beating on my stomach."

Watch the video below, but make sure to have some tissue ready.  This performance was really touching.

Kelli is the most down to earth artist I have seen, who is not afraid to let her feelings show.  I applaud anyone who has the ability to let their guard down and let the world see what strong emotions are all about!  Keep up the good work, and rest assured, there are a lot of fans out here who really appreciate what Kelli has to say.  Thanks again Small Town Girl,  from a small town type guy!
