Jessica Simpson has taken another big step in her transition to shedding her pop persona and becoming a country music singer. This past Saturday she made her debut on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage. Simpson told the crowd it was an honor to perform at the Opry, adding "I feel very, very blessed." Simpson also talked about one of the songs off her new country CD, called "Remember That." She said she burst into tears the first couple of times she heard the song and knew God wanted her to sing it. The song deals with abuse and ends with the line, "Take it from me, I've stood in your shoes." Simpson's new album "Do You Know," hits stores tomorrow. Her single, "Come On Over," peaked at Number 18 on the Billboard country chart.
