Eva Mendes has said she hates being compared to Jennifer Lopez just because they're both from Latin backgrounds.
The We Own The Night star, who recently fronted a sexy advertising campaign for Calvin Klein, is quoted as saying recently: "I would like to think I will have a more serious career than [Jennifer].
"We may both be of Latin origin but that's where the comparisons stop.
"She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible."

Yeah, ok Eva you can become the best actress and than when someone better than you comes along what will you be left with besides your looks and with time your looks will change because you will begin to age. So I don't think your commet was a very smart one because on the other hand J-Lo thought ahead and can retire at any time because she thought outside the box and became a business woman.
oh come on girl what are you thinking? you have a long way to go honey way before you can reach all j-lo's goals and acomplishments. so yeah they should not compare you with jen but only for jens good not for yours. this can say how arrogant you can be, and remember were you came from.

I rather watch Eva on all of Jennifer's roles because Eva is a real "LATINA"...and not some pretty ghetto broad that became famous just for her butt. Eva can out do Jennifer any time because she has natural talent...not some made up "latin look". What Eva meant by more serious roles is that she doesn't need to think of singing (like the not talent Jennifer) or coming up with some fragrance or some mediocre clothes line to meet her money hungry desires. She wants to stick to acting only because that is where her heart is and where her true talent is! Besides every idea that Jennifer came up with as far as business goes….was originally Selena’s ideas….Uhmmm. Too bad Selena is gone because if she wasn’t there would be no Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer saw how Selena was loved by her fans and for her talent…she knew that if she can be like her she would have it made. How typical! Yeah so what Jennifer has enough money to retire…of course ghetto people only think about money because they never had it. But money still doesn’t make her a lady……
