While she was known under the name "Blümchen" (floret) in Europe, she released her English albums as "Blossom". In 2001, she retired her stage name in favor of her birth name. She has released dozens of singles and albums since she was discovered in 1995 on an NDW-party by the producers Stani "Silence" Djukanovic and Arn "Paralyzer" Schlürmann. She was once a cheerleader. The nickname "Blümchen" (which is also her artist name) was given to her by her mother Marija. She has a brother named Christian. She began singing in the school choir. She has won several music awards in Germany. The release of her "Best Of" album titled "Für Immer Und Ewig - das Beste von Blümchen" marked the end of Jasmin Wagner's career as German pop flower Blümchen. Between 1995 and 2000, the now 21 year-old star had 17 singles and 5 albums in the Media Control charts. World-wide sales totaled 30 million Blümchen singles and album copies. Looking back on 5 Top 10 singles, 14 additional Top 20 hits, 2 Gold albums, 2 ECHO Awards plus a number of other trophies (including several BRAVO Otto Awards) she became the most succesful German pop artist of the nineties. Her mother is Marija Wagner, her father is Fritz Joachim. Her brother's name is Christian Wagner. Miss Wagner's albums released in the U.S. include 'Heartbeat' and 'In Love.' Promotes her own cosmetic line Jamilia (2002). Vocal supporter of animal rights groups like "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals" and "Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society". Is a vegetarian.
