If you are fed up with mass-produced pop tarts, you'll love Fefe Dobson; she wasn't manufactured like so many assembly line teenyboppers. Her music defies categorization and we definitely respect that. Because she is a Canadian teenager who sings pop rock hits, Fefe is often compared to Avril Lavigne. However, Fefe's critics and fans agree that her music is much more mature. Her songs "Take Me Away" and "Everything" will doubtless take her very far.
Won the Smooth Operator Award at the 2nd Annual TRL Awards (2004). Has said if she has it her way the three bands she would most love to tour with are, The Donnas, Greenday, and My Chemical Romance. Was originally supposed to release her second album "Sunday Love" June 20th, 2006 but she left her record label Island Records, along with close friend and singer Christina Millian. She is currently between American Lables and plans to have her highly anticipated sophomore album released in the fall 2006. (July 2006) Since leaving Island Records in June 2006, Fefe has moved away from her album "Sunday Love" due to the fact that her former label owns the rights to the album. Fefe is now recording an entirely new album in her hometown of Toronto with the help of her Candian label Universial Music Canada. She is in talks with an American label to release her new album to the rest of North America and the world. She joined Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Mya, Richard Gere, and Alicia Keys for a new Documentary entitled "Staying Alive-48fest" a film about HIV/AIDS, the film will premiere on all global MTV networks around the world on December 1st, 2006 which is Worlds AIDS Day.
