While I'm not too crazy about Dolly Parton's music, it was great to see her on American Idol.  I was thinking to myself, she looks great for being in her 70s, but then I just looked her up on the Wiki and found out she's only 62. Yikes.

Here's a quick review of the performances and prediction for the bottom 3 and who'll get the boot tomorrow night.  I didn't get all of the song names down only because I don't know all of the titles and I must admit, I wasn't paying very close attention this week.

Brooke White - sang "Jolene" and it just didn't sound great.  While it wasn't too bad, it just sounded like it was lacking something.  Simon Cowell must've felt it too and said it seemed like the performance lacked emotion.David Cook - sang "Little Sparrow" and I found it kinda boring.  He sang it okay, but the song wasn't that great.Ramiele Malubay - I'll start with the good.  This seemed to be one of her better performances this week.  The bad - it still wasn't that great and seemed a little awkward.Jason Castro - I had to take a call during his performance, but from what I heard, he sounded pretty good this week.  I'll have to look at his performance again later, but it seemed to be an enjoyable one to watch.Carly Smithson - finally picked a good song for her voice.  I thought she did that song pretty well, but Simon didn't seem to like it.  He was actually rude tonight and dissed her outfit saying that she has to start dressing like a star.  Until Simon starts dressing a little better, I think he should lay off the outfits and just  on the performance.  Her outfit wasn't that great, but it wasn't as bad as he made it sound. I felt bad for Carly tonight.David Archuleta - the sweet lil puppy made the judges and his papa proud.Kristy Lee Cook - even though she was in her element tonight because she loves country music, she didn't do her absolute best.  It was hilarious that Ryan Seacrest noticed her French pedicure because she wasn't wearing shoes during her performance.  I bet Ryan noticed it right away because he just had one done.Syesha Mercado - sang "I'll Always Love You" and I've always hated this song because it was one of the most overplayed songs ever.  Honestly, that song used to make me gag! But I thought she did a pretty decent job singing it.  Maybe she can't sing as well as Whitney Houston, but in comparison to the other female singers, she's great and I like her.  Simon and Randy Jackson were saying that she didn't do it like Whitney...well, no one can, but she has performed a lot better than some of the other girls.Michael Johns - what a sexy performance tonight...he's hot and has such a great voice.  Tonight was his best performance so far.
