Danielle Jane Minogue was born in 1971, the middle one between older sister Kylie Minogue and younger brother Brendan Minogue. By June 1978, she had secured a role in the Australian series Skyways. A number of guest appearances followed, leading to her appearance as a "Talent Discovery" on the popular Young Talent Time. Three years later, she became an official cast member. As Dannii's professional resume grew, so did her popularity. Her first fashion range, titled "Dannii", sold out in a record 10 days in 1988. International stardom came when Dannii took the role of Emma Jackson in the popular soap opera Home and Away, which led to her receiving the "Most Popular Female TV Personality" Award at the Australian Television Awards 1989 Logie Awards. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1991. Her motion picture debut Secrets came in 1992, and she followed this success with a second album, "Get Into You", in 1993. Upon relocating to London in the early 1990s, Dannii hosted a series of talk shows for British television. After a break of three years, Dannii began work on her third album, "Girl", which was released on September 8, 1997.

November 1996: The readers of "Sky" magazine voted Dannii (and her sister Kylie Minogue) amongst the Top 10 Women Readers Would Most Like To Spend The Night With. November 1998: Received a prestigious MO Award nomination for her role as Rizzo in "Grease: The Arena Spectacular" in Australia. 23rd January 2002: Signed a multi-million dollar six album deal with London Records, who outbid five other labels. 16th December 2006: Fans at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia got a fantastic surprise when Dannii joined her sister Kylie Minogue on stage for a rip-roaring rendition of Kylie's hit: "Kids"! The sisters thrilled the sell-out crowd at Kylie's "Showgirl Homecoming Tour". This marked the first time the Minogue sisters have performed a song together for over 19 years. May 2004: Embarked on Unite Against Hunger, a two-day event in South Africa with Nelson Mandela. Unite Against Hunger is a food crisis relief program, headed by food and health care giant Tigar Brands. The charity ensures that more than 10,000 children across South Africa get much needed food every month. Her favorite food is Japanese. Has been a vegetarian since 1985.
