Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke has come to her father's defense after he was accused of likening his ongoing divorce battle to O.J. Simpson's murder trial.


In response to the fallout stemming from controversial made in a recent magazine interview by Hulk Hogan, his daughter Brooke Hogan is sounding off in defense of her famous father. It's an "Insider" exclusive! "I cannot believe how blown out of proportion one small part of a seven-page article has become," Brooke says. "It's a classic case of a quote being taken out of context. I look up to my father in every way. He has been through so much and has taken the high road through it all. The idea that he would condone the O.J. situation is just outrageous." In the Rolling Stone interview that triggered the controversy, Hulk addressed his frustrations regarding his divorce with estranged wife Linda Hogan, saying, "I could've turned everything into a crime scene, like O.J. (Simpson), cutting everybody's throat. You see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, sleeping in your bed, with your wife. I mean, I totally understand O.J." On Wednesday, a rep for Hogan made a follow-up statement to us regarding the article: "Hulk in no way condones the O.J. situation. As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation." Earlier this week, his estranged wife released a statement through her rep Gary Smith that read: "Hulk thinks he can do whatever he wants, to whomever he wants, whenever he wants. He is your classic narcissist who demands total control and will go to ANY extent necessary to get it. His violent and scary mood swings have been my nightmare for too many years. I hope for the sake of our kids that he gets the psychological help for himself and the safety of others."

"The Insider" has confirmed that Nick Hogan, son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan, was released from Pinellas County Jail in Florida at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. In a photo obtained by "The Insider," Nick is seen being greeted and embraced by his sister, Brooke Hogan, upon his release. Hogan, whose real name is Nicholas Bollea, served time for a felony reckless driving charge involving serious bodily injury stemming from an August 2007 car accident.  He pleaded no contest to the charge last May, after the crash left his friend and passenger John Graziano hospitalized and critically injured. The now 18-year-old Hogan was originally sentenced to serve eight months jail time, but was released after serving just over 160 days.

Nick Hogan is getting out of jail tomorrow, three months early due to good behavior, and now his sister Brooke Hogan can't contain her excitement on her MySpace Celebrity page. "I can't even tell you, as a sister, how exciting this is for me!" she writes about her 18-year-old brother, who she describes as like a "best friend." "Not seeing him for 6 months has been really, really hard. He always knows how to make me feel better or make me smile when I need it, and its been tough without having him there to hug me just at the right time, or crack a joke when I'm havin' a bad day." The son of former wrestler and reality show star Hulk Hogan has been serving time after pleading no contest to reckless driving charges from an August 2007 crash that left his best friend, John Graziano, in a permanent state of disability. "It's really sad, because we're not bad people," continues Brooke. "We're just going through a really hard time, and so is John's family. I feel sorry for the people who are misinformed because all they have to go off of is the media, which, lets just face it, is NEVER a reliable source." Brooke asks for prayer and words of inspiration for both Nick and his friend John, and adds on a positive note, "I just can't wait to see my Nicky! I'm gonna make him every kind of food you can possibly think of! He's been living on bread an' potatoes so far and I know some mac 'n' cheese is gonna hit the spot! LOL."
