Doctors are reportedly worried that Amy Winehouse may have contracted tuberculosis.  As mentioned recently, Miss Wino had fainted at her home and was taken to the hospital followed with a series of tests.

According to the Daily Mail, the singer has been coughing up blood from a chest infection and has lost a dramatic amount of weight which are apparently indicators of TB.

Amy's close pal said:

"Doctors are still struggling to control her heartbeat but the chest condition has been really worrying them. She'd been suffering horrible coughing fits and hurling up blood for a while but refused to be examined. Doctors now believe it is TB and are doing more tests to be certain. The last thing she needs is to be wheeled on stage. She needs a rest."

However, Amy's rep insists she intends to play at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert and the Glastonbury festival the following day.

Yes, that's very smart, risk exposing many others to whatever contagious illness she may have plus also risk getting worse.  The last thing Nelson Mandela needs for his 90th birthday is to be exposed to whatever she might be suffering from.

UPDATE: Amy Winehouse has reportedly been cleared of the deadly disease.
