  Aaliyah, Gone But Not Forgotten

by Monique 2007-11-06 01:43:50 :: Posts:0

I was an avid fan of Aaliyah. I am not one to worship or "freak out" (like we call it where I'm from) over celebrities, but for some reason I was a very big fan of Aaliyah. She had a beautiful voice and at the same time had a certain calmness about her. She was a beautiful young lady and seemed to be a very respectable young woman. I know her parents wish she was still here, but they have alot to be proud of for the short time that she did grace this earth.

I am older than she was and I am a vocalist (a very good one at that) and I don't really care much for younger music, however Aaliyah's music had meaning which is something alot of the music today lacks. Her voice was captivating. It's unfortunate that she was taken away so early in her life, because I feel like she had so much more to accomplish, but the Almighty knows best.

Aaliyah may not be here with us physically anymore, but her music and her spirit lives on with us. She was loved by so much more than her own family. She may be gone, but she is certainly not forgotten.

I'll always love aaliyah. She's still d best . No one can or will replace her. All the rest(ciara, beyonce,rihanna,ashanti,.keri hilson..e.t.c) can only try 2 be like her.
