Perhaps taking the lead from fellow **** star Mary Carey, who ran in California’s last gubenatorial election, Jenna Jameson has announced that she is throwing her political weight around in favor of New York Democrat Hillary Clinton, in a wide-ranging interview released on PR.com, on Wednesday.

Jenna gave her opinions on politics at the end of the interview, a wide ranging discussion that included everything from her best-selling book, “How to Make Love Like a **** Star,” to her work in mainstream films, such as “Sick” and “Zombie.” In the political segment of the interview, Jameson revealed that although she wishes Hillary’s husband, former president Bill Clinton, would run again [something he is forbidden to do by law], she supports Hillary.

In the PR.com interview, Jenna was asked, “Who’s your favorite Democratic front runner for 2008? Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or John Edwards?” Jenna responded, “I love Hillary. I think that in some ways she’s pretty conservative for a democrat, but I would love to have a woman in office. I think that it would be a step in the right direction for our country, and there would be less focus on war and more focus on bettering society.”

She further expanded her views on Democrats versus Republicans, and how it affects her line of work. Part of the reason, apparently, was that Democrats were less likely to make her life as a **** star difficult. She said, “The Clinton administration was the best years for the adult industry and I wish that Clinton would run again. I would love to have him back in office. I would love to have Al Gore in office. When Republicans are in office, the problem is, a lot of times they try to put their crosshairs on the adult industry, to make a point. It’s sad, when there are so many different things that are going on in the world: war, and people are dying of genocide.”

She went on to add, still in the PR.com interview, that in her mind, the best thing for this country would be someone like Hillary in office. “I look forward to another democrat being in office,” she said. “It just makes the climate so much better for us, and I know that once all our troops come home, things are going to be better and I think that getting Bush out of office is the most important thing right now.”

Jameson says she does not like to portray herself as a democrat, but she does acknowledge being “extremely liberal.” While this endorsement is not likely to end up on the front page of Hillary Clinton’s website, it did cause others, such as CBN.com’s David Brody, to wonder what other recommendations have been picked up by leading candidates, and what endorsement (such as Ted Kennedy endorsing Mitt Romney, Vidal Sassoon endorsing John Edwards or Don Imus endorsing Barack Obama), popular candidates would want least of all.
