How to enable JavaScript for Microsoft Internet Explorer

1. Click "Tools" then Internet Options..."

2. Select the "Security" tab







3. Then check "Custom Level"

4. In the Security Settings window scroll down to the "Scripting" area Under "Active scripting" select "Enabled" or "Prompt"
5. Then click "OK"
6. Then click "Yes"
7. Then click "OK." Now JavaScript will work on web pages. To disable JavaScript, repeat the steps above and instead of selecting "Enabled" or "Prompt" select "Disabled."

How can I enable JavaScript in Opera for Series 4, 6, 7?

Platform: Symbian Series 60

JavaScript is disabled by default in Opera for Series 60. To enable it, follow these instructions:

  • Press "Options" and select "Settings", or use the keypad shortcut 8
  • Use joystick down and press "Enable JavaScript" "On"
  • The same instructions can be used to take Javascript "Off"
  • Select "OK"

Opera 4
  • JavaScript controls: File => Preferences => Plugins => Enable scripting languages

To enable JavaScript in Opera 7.xx series:  
  • Open Opera.
  • On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  • Click Multimedia in the Preferences list. (Fig. 1)

    From the Prefrences window expand Advanced.

    Select Scripts &Plug-ins.
    In the Enable JavaScript for window, check the Navigator box..
