Luke Greenfield Biography
Luke Greenfield was born in Manhassett, New York on February 5th. He grew up 40 minutes outside of New York City in Westport, Connecticut. In 1994, he graduated from University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television.In 2000, Producers Adam Sandler, Jack Giarraputo and Todd Garner saw an early cut of his short film, The Right Hook and offered him his first studio feature film, The Animal starring Rob Schneider.
Following "The Animal", Greenfield co-wrote and directed New Regency's The Girl Next Door, which was based on an original script entitled "The Girl Next Door", written by Brent Goldberg and David Wagner.
In May 2004, Greenfield signed a 2-year first-look deal with 20th Century Fox-based New Regency and created his own production company, WideAwake, Inc. WideAwake is currently developing six feature films at three different movie studios: 20th Century Fox, New Regency and Columbia Pictures.
WideAwake also has an overall television deal with 20th Century Fox Television. They are currently creating three one-hour dramas and two half-hour comedies.
