After small films like The Bedroom Window, and _Sweet Kill (1972)_ , Director Curtis Hanson went on to direct major motion features including _Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992)_ and The River Wild. Taking time in between his movies, he also directed Academy Award Winner L.A. Confidential. Sticking his sights on another city, Hanson was critically aclaimed for directing Eminem in Universal Pictures's _8 MILE (2002)_ , which not only starred Kim Basinger and 'Mekhi Pfeiffer' but many Detroit based actors as well.
